Hi, I'm Aaron Kelley!
I'm a software engineer at Affirm based in New York City. In my free time, I love traveling, skiing / skateboarding, trying new foods, and learning about the natural world.
In my free time, I can usually be found skiing, riding my longboard, cheering on Detroit sports teams, and checking out new coffee shops around NYC. I'm also passionate about traveling, and love chatting about unique traveling locations/stories!
Thank you so much for visiting my page!
Here is some of my recent work experience.
August 2021 - Present
Worked as a SWE I and II on the Debit+ / Affirm Card team, helping to grow the product from ~200 to over
2 million users. Throughout this time, I architected features such as the app's onboarding flow,
self service features, first time user experience, and card rewards.
June 2020 - August 2020
Full stack development working on VMware's OEM Provisioning
Agent team.
Utilized a variety of technologies, including C#,
.NET Core, PostgreSQL, Docker, and Bamboo
in an agile
programming environment.
April 2019 - August 2019
Designed and implemented Amazon Alexa skills to serve as virtual instructors for
various University of Michigan courses, using Python and the AWS Developer Console.
Here are some descriptions of some of my favorite projects I've worked on.
The power of Affirm, all in a user's wallet. The Affirm Card is a debit card which gives users the flexibility to pay in full, or over time.
A hierarchical file system, interacted with through client-server network messages. Utilizes sockets and network protocols to allow communication between client and server.
A usable, flexible thread library similar to that provided in the C++ standard library, designed using Linux context switching.
Some of the code for these projects cannot be published due to University guidelines. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me.
